Meet Brittany Doria

You can learn most of what you need to know about a company by watching how the person at the top behaves when things are not going well.

At Daz & Company, that person is our President, Brittany Doria.

From Cincinnati to Baltimore

Brittany is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, which is a detail that turns out to matter more than it sounds. Years later, Daz & Company opened a second office there. The company's expansion is not abstract to her.

She did not come up through a conventional corporate track. Most of her early professional life was in the hospitality industry, and she is direct about how much that shaped her.

Restaurants teach things that are difficult to learn anywhere else. You work at pace without dropping quality. You read people quickly. And you learn what she calls the work until the job is done mentality, as opposed to the clock in and clock out mentality. In a restaurant, the shift ends when the work is finished, not when the hour arrives.

That standard carried directly into how she runs this company.

People as the product

Ask Brittany what Daz & Company actually produces and she will tell you it is people.

Her position is that a company's team is the best product it will ever have. Clients hire us for results, and results come from individuals who are well trained, well supported, and genuinely invested. Get the people right and performance follows. Get them wrong and no amount of strategy compensates.

In practice that means individual growth and business growth are not competing priorities. Someone developing new skills or taking on more responsibility is not a distraction from the work. It is the work.

Recognition that came from the team

In December 2025, Brittany was featured in [The Baltimore Sun](https://www.baltimoresun.com/2025/12/03/top-workplaces-small-leader-daz-co-brittany-doria/) as part of the paper's Top Workplaces coverage, where Daz & Company was named one of the region's Top Workplaces.

The part that matters about that recognition is where it comes from. Top Workplaces rankings are built on employee survey responses, not applications or nominations from leadership. It is the team's assessment, not the company's.

She has also earned a Pacesetter award recognizing the company's performance in bringing new customers to the clients we represent.

## Demanding and supportive at the same time

Brittany's leadership style combines a high standard with real attention to the person meeting it.

She pushes. Team members will tell you she expects more than you initially think you can deliver. But the expectation comes with coaching, support, and genuine interest in how you are doing. The push and the care are not in tension. They come from the same belief, which is that people are capable of considerably more than they give themselves credit for.

That combination is rarer than it should be. Plenty of leaders are demanding. Plenty are supportive. Doing both consistently is the difference between a team that performs and a team that performs and stays.

## Away from the office

Brittany is an aunt, and time with her nieces is where a lot of her energy outside work goes.

It is a small detail, but it fits the pattern. The through line in how she operates, at work and outside it, is investment in people who are still figuring out who they are going to be.
